Guild Application
Welcome to Foederati of Aggramar
First and foremost, thank you for taking an interest in our guild. Foederati prides itself in not only being one of the largest and most successful Horde guilds in Aggramar, but also a true family based and organized raiding guild. Our beliefs, actions and values are not only based on the guild as a whole, but on the individual as well. Our main goal is to provide our members with the ultimate gaming experience for their hard earned dollar.
Second, the application process. Sometimes we have limited amount of spaces available for certain classes and then sometimes we are at an all time low. No matter which occurs, every application is thoroughly screened and voted upon by the Officers of the guild. Please be as thorough as you possibly can and give in-depth information about yourself, your experiences, and your character in game. That will help us in the decision making process and speed along your application. If and when selected to join Foederati, you will be placed on a 30-Day probation period in which your play style, personality, and abilities will be evaluated so you can be promoted to full time member.
Lets get started. First, Read the following (Guild Charter).
About Us
Foederati is a close-knit guild consisting of mature players dedicated to achieving the goals established for the individual and the guild as a whole. While many of us are serious gamers, fun is our priority. We like to call ourselves a family style raiding guild. This means that while we do maintain a somewhat heavy raid schedule we recognize that enjoying the game and having fun are the priorities. We also understand that our guild members have jobs, families and *gasp* social lives outside of WoW.
Amradorn is our beloved Caesar and guild leader. He is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the guild with the assistance of the officers. We generally use our website for important information, announcements and discussions. We mainly use the in game calendar for setting up raids, however we do have a Raid sign up section in the forums that can be used by anyone who wants to run a raid..
Raiding
Foederati has always been one of the top Horde raiding guilds on Aggramar. We bagged the first horde side Nefarian kill and progressed farther than any other horde guild in AQ40 and Naxxramas prior to the expansion. We’ve continued to have success in the expansion as well. We usually raid 3 nights a week. Our raids generally start at 7:00 PM CST on and go until 10:00. Our raid days are generally Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. We will move a raid day on occasion for things like holidays and such but it doesn’t happen often. We only run 25 man raids as official runs. If you are looking to raid seven days a week, six hours a day, Foederati might not be the guild for you. We’ve have never maintained that kind of a raid schedule and probably never will, the family style raiding guild thing again.
You should also know that being in Foederati doesn’t guarantee anyone a raid spot. We have more members than we can fit into every raid and rotations are sometimes necessary and are generally handled by an officer or raid leader.
Non-Raiding
Our guild members run the 5 man instances as often as they can on heroic and normal difficulty. We also have some strong 10 man raiding groups. We try to help our guild members get the instance runs they need and with a little effort on your part you ought to be able to instance pretty regularly.
Our guild members are also active in PvP. We have several arena groups going at the moment and you’d be welcome to join one or start your own. However, most of our guild wide focus is directed at PvE content.
About You
You should enjoy the game as a whole and want to be in Foederati. We think this is a great guild with a great atmosphere and great people. We’d like to have you onboard to help our family grow. We are always looking for players who are mature, fun, and know their class. We are looking for applicants who learn quickly and play their class well. While we don’t live and die by damage/healing meter, if you keep doing half the damage that the other members of your class are doing, the raid leader will likely want to know why. That being said we are always willing to help our members improve their raid performance. You should understand that rotations are sometimes necessary and not everyone will always be able to fit into every raid they sign up for. You need to plan on showing up prepared to raids. This includes being there on time, having your gear repaired, having a sufficient stockpile of any reagents you might need, and also having a healthy stockpile of consumables. This includes potions, elixirs/flasks, food buffs and the like. You should have a working knowledge of the fights before you see them for the first time, either from reading strats, talking to other members of your class or watching videos or whatever.
How to Apply
Send Olpham a PM via our forums. This requires creating an account on our forums. We will not move forward in the application process without a copy of your responses to the questions listed below. Please put a little thought into your application. It took us a little while to write this app, hopefully you’ll put a little time and effort into filing it out.
A well thought out application is probably the first step towards acceptance.
Please include the following information:
1. Your Main Character’s Name
2. Class and Race
3. Professions
4. Link to your Armory.
5. Tell us about your main spec and the second spec you use. What were your reasons for picking both?
6. Alts: Please provide the names of any alts that you take seriously and think we should know about.
7. Your Age
8. How long have you played WoW? What other computer or platform games do you play?
9. How do you learn about upcoming changes to the game? Do you read any websites devoted to WoW?
10. Foed Reference/Sponsor: Do you have friends currently in Foederati who can vouch for you? If so who?
11. Availability: Foederati raids Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 7pm-10pm server time. Are you available during those times, and what sort of schedule conflicts do you anticipate? School, job, kids, etc.
12. Info on your current and previous guilds. Tell us how long you’ve been guilded, why you left previous guilds etc.
13. Raid Experience: Tells us about your prior raid experience both before and after the expansion. What’s your favorite fight in WotLK?
14. What add-ons do you use in a raid setting? Do you play with a custom UI?
15. Ventrilo is a necessary raiding tool to improve communication during fights. People also use it for five mans, or talking with guild members during down time. Do you have a mic to use with Ventrilo, and how often do you talk in Vent during a raid?
16. Tell us a joke. No, seriously, make us laugh.
17. Anything else you think we should know?
Once we receive your app it will be posted in the officer forums on our website. We will discuss it and contact you. If we think you might be a good fit for Foederati we will contact you and see if we can get you on a few trial runs. If you have any questions or if anything above
otherwise needs clarification, send Olpham a PM or contact an officer in-game. Once we have reviewed your application, we will be in touch. The review process can take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. We may also ask you to participate in a raid to get a feel for your abilities.
Note you can alternatively send an email to Amradorn with the above information.
